Christine Hovliaras-Delozier, RDH, MBA is President of Professional Savvy, LLC, an oral care consulting company located in Flanders, New Jersey. She received her Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science Degree's in dental hygiene from Fairleigh Dickinson, Jr., College of Dental Medicine in Hackensack, New Jersey and her Masters in Business Administration in Pharmaceutical Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson School of Business in Teaneck, New Jersey. Chris has been a dental hygienist for 21 years, worked in a periodontal practice for 16 years, and at the Warner-Lambert Company, now Pfizer, Inc., for 12 years in the areas of dental clinical research, professional sales training, professional sales, and professional marketing/relations.

In her consulting business, Chris works with various companies in professional marketing/relations efforts, clinical research initiatives, professional sales, and continuing education symposiums. Her company assists professional organizations in strategic planning, program development, and continuing education programs. Christine works with dental hygienists and student dental hygienists in developing their cover letters, resumes, and curriculum vitaes and provides career counseling in the dental hygiene profession.

Chris has been selected to serve in the new position of editor-in-chief for Access, the American Dental Hygienists' Association national magazine, effective with the November 2005 issue. She will author an editorial column for each issue, solicit articles for publication, review the content of manuscripts prior to publication, and oversee the entire preproduction process.

She has presented numerous continuing education course programs to student and registered dental hygienists nationally and has had the privilege of being a co-author on many abstract and scientific publications in peer reviewed journals (Journal of Periodontology, Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Clinical Dentistry). She was a contributing author of the 3rd edition of Regina Dreyer Thomas' Career Directions for Dental Hygienists and wrote her Professional Savvy™ column in the Journal of Practical Hygiene from January 1994- April 1996 and RDH magazine from July 2004 - October 2005.

Chris is an Editorial Review Board member of the Journal of Dental Hygiene.She is member of the New Jersey Dental Hygienists’ Association, the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the International Federation of Dental Hygienists’, and Who’s Who of Business and Professional Executives. Chris is a recipient of the 2005 Pfizer/ADHA Award of Excellence in Dental Hygiene and received the United Who's Who of Business and Professional Executives in 2004.
